A designer thinks about phi

Captivated by Phi's countless manifestations, jewelry designer Michael daCosta experimented with several design concepts in an effort to capture its essence. His final design brings together the natural and human aspects of Phi, along with a refined aesthetic philosophy – hence the name HarmonyPhi.

Over 20 years designing wearable treasures

Michael daCosta has been designing and crafting wonderful, individual pieces for wonderful, amazing people, all expressing unique sentiments for over 2 decades. He owns and operates Fortunes Fine Jewellers and has his own design and production facility, employing highly skilled goldsmiths, gemologists and diamond setters. He is a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, a three-time recipient of the DeBeer's Diamonds Today design award, a semi-finalist in the 2004 DeBeer's International Design competition and a triple finalist and winner in the Canadian Jeweller's Excellence in Design Awards for 2005, 2006 and 2007, and most recently Platinum Honors winner of the 2009 American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) design competition. He is based in Toronto, Canada.
